Potters For Peace

ron rivera memorial

Potters for Peace mourns the passing of Ron Rivera. Ron was a remarkable human being who left a profound impression on many people worldwide. To a great degree PFP in its present form is a product of Ron’s efforts and wisdom.

He died as he lived, working tirelessly to bring potable water to the poorest of the poor. On a recent filter work trip to Nigeria Ron contracted a severe form of malaria resulting in a heart attack and his death on September 3.

You are invited to send a personal message about Ron and we will post it here on the “remembrances” page.
Also, PFP’s Canadian sister organization Potters Without Borders has set up a blog for sharing our feelings: http://www.potterswithoutborders.com/ronrivera/

The New York Times Magazine of Dec. 28 published a piece on Ron for their annual “Lives They Lived” issue, this is the link:

With the full support of Ron’s wife and family we have set up a memorial fund to continue Ron’s work of setting up at least 100 filter making facilities worldwide and meeting the Millenium Development Goal for potable water, to find out more please go to the “memorial fund” page.
